That's what Club La Costa's own charity organisation, The Smile Foundation, is asking members, friends and staff to do this summer.

Wednesday 23rd July is the date set for the first SMILE MILE, set on a circular route around the Club La Costa resort near Fuengirola. It's a charity fun run that anyone can enjoy, whether they want to run or simply walk a mile.
Event organiser and Smile Foundation Committee member Alastair Fitchett explained: "Logistically it has been a huge challenge. We needed the permission and co-operation of the local Ayuntamiento and Police, who could not have been more supportive. In fact, they have been incredibly pro-active, agreeing to help us with the arrangements up to and including the event itself. All proceeds will go towards the current ADIMI Hospital project* and we are planning to turn the evening event into a spectacular night of fun for everyone"
It will cost just 5 Euros to run and will include a Smile Foundation T-shirt and certificate of participation
The run will begin at 8.00pm and will be started by none other than UK snooker legend, and star of 'Strictly Come Dancing', Willie Thorne. It will cost just 5 Euros to run and will include a Smile Foundation T-shirt and a certificate of participation. There is no age limit and runners will be encouraged to obtain individual sponsorship to help boost the fundraising efforts; the form can also be downloaded from the website.
As part of a fantastic evening's entertainment, there will also be a full bar, a barbecue, 'Rastro-style'stalls, side shows, bouncy castles, music, and much more, to ensure everyone who turns up has a memorable evening.
Smile Foundation President, Richard Fletcher said "The Smile Mile is open to people of all ages, and is a run (or a walk) that can make a difference to so many less privileged children and their families here in southern Spain. While the run may not take long, we hope that everyone will stay and enjoy the various attractions that are planned to last the whole night."
He continued "Of course there will be prizes for the winners. A special Smile Mile Cup will be won in each of four categories; the first male, the first female, the first child (aged 10 and under) and the first senior (age 60 and above). Are we mad holding the event in the middle of the summer? Not really; that's why we chose the evening start time, which should create ideal conditions for the runners, and absolutely perfect conditions for the fun and attractions to follow. Balmy Spanish evenings under the stars are hard to beat anywhere in the world!"
The organisers' ambitious target is to have at least 1000 runners on the night, made up of guests staying on the resort, members of their 1300 strong staff, as well as friends, relatives and local people from along the coast. In fact, everyone is welcome to come along and even if they don't want to run, they can still enjoy the party atmosphere.
Foundation Secretary, Antonia Hagelen-McIntosh, who is responsible for registrations and sponsorship commented, "Most of all we want people to take part and donate their 5 Euros to run, but we'd also like to encourage them to obtain individual sponsorship in which case we will be delighted to receive that too. Sponsorship forms can be downloaded from the website, along with the registration form and full event details at www.clublacosta.com/smilemile"
The slogan adopted for the run is simple: "Run a mile, and make a difference"
It promises to be a fun-packed evening for the whole family!
* The ADIMI Hospital Project is a 3 million Euro hospital designed to cater for the needs of local families with disabled children and will provide respite care in a superb, purpose built building on land donated by the Ayuntamiento in Mijas. The Smile Foundation is dedicated to funding the entire project from its own efforts and from generous donations. 100 per cent of all monies raised goes directly to the charity.
