Nerja

Come and visit Spain's third most visited attraction: the famous Cave of Nerja with its 32 metre high Cataclysmic Hall, and also the famous Balcón de Europa in the town, overlooking the sea.

For a visit to the lesser known eastern side of the Costa del Sol we suggest a trip to its most famous town of Nerja. Stroll through the old style streets of El Palo where we you can enjoy a typical Andalucian breakfast. After breakfast, why not pay a visit to Spain's 3rd most visited tourist site, the famous Cave of Nerja. This amazing cave together with its stalactites and stalagmites and its 32 meters high Cataclysmic Hall is a joy to behold.

While you're in Nerja, don't forget to take the time to explore the sites such as the Balcón de Europa (Europe's Balcony) or just amble amongst the shops and bars of this interesting town.

Granada

A 'must do' is Granada's Alhambra, world known as the best conserved example of Islamic architecture in Spain and a joy to behold.

The city of charm and mystery—situated at the foot of Sierra Nevada—was the last Arab stronghold in Spain which was conquered by the Christians in 1492.

The Alhambra complex—The most visited monument of Andalusia is known as the best conserved example of Islamic architecture in Spain. While visiting the Alhambra, there is a 2 ½ hour walking tour guide that should not be missed that will reveal to you the fascinating history of the different parts of the stunning Alhambra. While in Granada, you may want to also visit the Cathedral of Granada with Isabel and Ferdinand's Royal Chapel.

Cordoba

An elegant city that was once the capital of Islamic Spain, it boasts the Mezquita, with its 856 columns holding up its unique arches, considered one of the most beautiful mosques outside the Middle East and subsequently a cathedral.

As a result of this, it boasts the "Mezquita", one of the most fascinating buildings in the world. This building with its remaining 856 columns holding up its unique arches was the most beautiful and largest mosque outside of the Middle East and is now the cathedral of Cordoba.

It also has a proud Roman heritage and Roman bridges, mosaics and baths can be seen during your visit. It is also possible to just wander through the old Jewish Quarter or simply take in the beauty of the city's gardens, fountains and patios.

Ronda

One of Andalucia's oldest and most intriguing cities, with its famous 100m deep gorge separating the old and new parts of town.

Travel on a modern air conditioned train from Algeciras to Ronda—on a single track line, built over 100 years ago. This spectacular mountain scenery can only be seen by train, with many villages and delightful Victorian stations on route. Arriving in Ronda you can explore this beautiful romantic town in your free time.

It was inhabited by the Romans and Arabs, the 100 meter deep gorge "El Tajo" separates the town into the old and new part and especially its old quarter and the bullring are a sight not to be missed.

Gibraltar

Gibraltar, located at the southernmost tip of the Iberian Peninsula, is a location with an interesting and vast historical background. Whether you want to enjoy a day of duty free shopping or take in the historical sights of Gibraltar, there truly is something for everyone.

While in Gibraltar, why not take a tour of the "Rock". For those interested, you can take a 1 ½ hour minibus trip around the Rock and learn all about its unique history. Drive up to the Upper Rock Nature Reserve where you can visit St. Michael's cave and see the legendary Apes, the only wild Apes in Europe as well as enjoy the fabulous views of the Straits of Gibraltar.

For those who love to shop, visitors can enjoy a VAT FREE SHOPPING bonanza at your UK High Street in the sun. Familiar UK names and brands as well as many other varied shops and artefacts.

Tangier

A short ferry crossing and you enter another world, that of exotic Morocco where you will experience a Berber Arabian Fantasia show over lunch, with belly dancing, music and horsemanship displays.

Cross over into the ancient city of Morocco from Tarifa, the southern most tip of Europe. The ferry gets to Tangier in approx 35-40 minutes. Upon arrival, travel a short way to see the famous Caves of Hercules on the shores of the Atlantic. Getting hungry? Why not try a typical Moroccan lunch and a Berber Arabian Fantasia show, which includes Belly Dancing, Music and Horsemanship display. After lunch, enjoy a nice stroll through the Medina (old part of the town) and Souk (market) to give you an insight into the past as well as the old commercial part of Tangier.

Sevilla

Andalucia's historic capital has a wonderfully preserved old part of the city, which you can tour by horse drawn carriage. Its landmark cathedral minaret: La Giralda, was built in the 12th century.

Seville is the capital of Andalusia. The landmark of Seville is the cathedral minaret "La Giralda", built in the 12th century. It is the 3rd largest temple in Christianity after Saint Peter's in Rome and Saint Paul's in London. Upon arrival we will start a tour, including the visit of "La Giralda" and the majestic Plaza de España. You then have time to explore the city and perhaps take a ride in a horse drawn carriage through the Maria Luisa Park or a walk around the famous Jewish Quarter "Santa Cruz".

Lakes & Orchards

(The Marmalade Run) An authentic Spanish experience visiting an inland olive mill for a guided tour and a citrus fruit farm, where you can sample fruit straight from the tree, before the drama of El Chorro Gorge.

Our trip takes us inland, to an old Olive Mill, for a fully guided tour and, when in season, where we can see the full olive oil production process (light refreshments included). We then visit an authentic citrus fruit farm of around 17,000 trees, where we can sample fresh fruit, straight from the tree. A tour of the scenic Spanish Lake District follows, via the dramatic El Chorro Gorge, where we stop for lunch, before then returning to the coast. (Only available from October till May)
