Club La Costa's new Yacht Club was featured recently in Ireland's leading business paper the Sunday Business Post.*
While CLC is better known to Irish readers as a property company - a substantial number of the company's freehold homes in Scotland and Cornwall have been bought by Irish buyers - the Yacht Club offers anyone looking for luxury holidays at sea the opportunity to buy into the yachting lifestyle through its exclusive timeshare-style sailing club.
The Yacht Club's first season in Mallorca has sold out fast, and the company plans to introduce exotic yachting holidays in the Gulf of Aqaba (also known as Gulf of Eilat) region in the Red Sea in the near future. The area is famous for its warm, clear seas and coral reefs; it's one of the world's best scuba diving spots.
CLC is adding two more catamarans to add to its private fleet of wholly owned yachts later this year. New Mediterranean destinations including Turkey and possibly Greece (as well as a second summer season in Mallorca) are already earmarked for next summer.
Club La Costa Chairman Roy Peires said: "The Yacht Club appeals to a range of clients, from company directors looking for a novel way of rewarding staff or impressing key clients and customers, to all of us who would love the luxury of a private sailing holiday without having to sink vast sums of money into buying, and maintaining, our own yacht."
